Imagine the moment that you truly get to unplug. The relaxation comes with stepping away from it all, and finally tuning in to the simple things—the sound of the creek, the words on a page, the smell of the coffee, and the shimmer of the stars at night.

Jakey’s Fork Homestead isn’t about modern luxury. It’s simple, timeless serenity.

Staying on the banks of our sparkling stream allows you to disconnect from the hustle and bustle, and settle into the natural rhythms of life in the Upper Wind River Country. Bring your hiking boots and fishing rod, or just a good book and get ready to slow down.

It might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Five stars isn’t nearly enough for ‘the bunkhouse’ where we stayed. We were greeted by the most beautiful little cabin, just a few meters from the river, like something out of a fairy tale. We could happily have stayed for much longer, to enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the birds and just look at the view.

Just feet from a sparkling trout stream, our cabins are a taste of the real West. Campfire, hammocks, and swimming holes (for the brave!) will keep you occupied while you’re enjoying some R&R, while nearby hiking trails, rodeos, and high mountain lakes will give you an excuse to explore. Drink your coffee on the porch on sunny mornings and enjoy the sunsets around the campfire overlooking the creek in the evening. Many folks have been tempted to stay all summer!

We’d love to have you stay with us!

Our time spent at Jakey’s Fork was perfect—even better than our expectations. The welcome we received made us feel at home immediately. Our only regret was we wished we had booked a week’s stay!
