What people say about Jakey’s Fork:

“A stay at the Creekside Cabin will refresh your spirits, cause you to pause in your travels, and breathe the mountain air in deeply. Expect a warm welcome from Carolyn, with personal touches of comfort throughout your stay. You can enjoy coffee or wine from your deck next a bubbling brook, wander in Dubois, get to know the friendly local mix of artists, musicians, and fellow adventurers, enjoy delicious fare from local restaurants, and explore the great outdoors. The cabin is stocked with exactly what you need and the location is perfect- a short drive into town while still in the quiet countryside. Local hiking trails to summits and a hidden mountain top lake are only minutes away. Highly recommend!”

“The cabin at Jakey's Fork exceeded all our expectations; its charm was perhaps only exceeded by the surrounding natural beauty of the cascading stream and the vistas of the Wind River Mountains. Hiking and fishing are literally right out the front door. This is the perfect getaway for those looking for an authentic western vacation. Carolyn is the perfect host; her knowledge and love of Jakey's Fork coupled with her unending hospitality, gave us just what we needed - a memorable and relaxing respite from the city.”

“This was our first visit to Wyoming. We absolutely loved our time in Dubois. We stayed at Jakey’s Fork at the Creekside cabin. It’s such a gem. Well appointed, comfortable, and clean. And Carolyn is a gem of a host. So very welcoming and hospitable. We have made some beautiful memories here and look forward to coming back to Jakey’s Fork. Can’t wait to go back again.”

“Jakey's Cabin is nothing less than perfect! The bed is comfortable and the space is warm and welcoming. The deck on the stream is ideal for sitting and relaxing while reading or having a cup of coffee or a cocktail. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Dubois area. Carolyn is a thoughtful, responsive host. I would stay here again should I ever get back to this area.”

If you don’t like reading long reviews, its what everybody else wrote about the cabin but even better! Just go. Our honest opinion about staying at the Creekside cabin..... well that’s a longer story. If you are thinking of renting this Creekside cabin, stop looking and go for it. If you are thinking of 2 nights book 3 or 4, whatever your travel plans are add a day extra to stay up here. Change your schedule if you have to you will not be disappointed. The cabin is well equipped, clean, has a nice bed, good shower and the best airco you can imagine... the decoration is beautiful, done with love and an eye for detail. The deck is private and the best place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. The surroundings are breathtaking, views of the mountains, the creek, the birds, the sound of running water, just put your feet in the water and chill! If all of this is not appealing enough just go to meet Carolyn. She is the nicest most sincere woman you will meet with a good sense of humor and she has the best cookies!! Needless to say we will be back to stay up here!”

“If you are headed to this part of the country, you must book at Carolyn's place. We had the most amazing experience. Carolyn's place far exceeded our expectations. Carolyn offers hospitality not often seen at other places we have stayed on Airbnb. The location provided peace and quiet but offered everything we needed. Carolyn's recommendations of hikes in the Tetons and places to dine were right on. Again, if you are even thinking about staying here, do it now, you will not be disappointed.”

“Wow, this place is absolutely amazing and exactly what we have been looking for. It has just the right feel of being a historic, rustic cabin but Carolyn keeps it feeling very clean and comfortable. The location is incredible, close to Dubois but feels like a world away. Amazing hiking, fishing and lakes right at your doorstep, and the relaxing creek is just a step away and provides a perfect background noise while sleeping. Carolyn was an amazing host, absolutely full of local resources and knowledge to help guide your adventures, and she provides great conversation and a great breakfast. This is definitely our favorite B and B we have ever stayed at, and cannot wait to be back!”

“Jakey's Fork is a hidden gem tucked away in the woods next to a bubbling creek yet only minutes from town and great fishing. Walking into the bunkhouse is like stepping back in time but with modern amenities and cute touches that make it a welcoming a warm place to stay. We cooked dinner 3 nights using the hotplate, outdoor grill, and a cast iron pan supplied with full place settings. Carolyn was a lovely host and made sure we had everything we needed. The bed was a fluffy slice of heaven after a long day of fishing but it's best for 2 people sleeping together. I was there with my brother so we had to flip for the bed or the pull out futon…Still overall a very comfortable and pleasant stay. We will definitely go again!

“If you are looking for a place to stay near the Tetons, look no further! Located on the bank of a river, this picturesque cabin was both cozy and quaint. We arrived mid evening and were greeted by a handwritten welcome note and cookies. Carolyn was an amazing host and we can’t wait to go back on our next trip!”

“This little historic cabin was so cute and perfectly decorated! Carolyn is a wonderful hostess with the mostest who made a tasty breakfast before we headed out for the day. Dubois is a wonderful little town; next time we will definitely spend more time there. This location is close to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, but far enough away to avoid the crowds! We would love to stay again if/when we come back to Wyoming!”

“What a brilliant home away from home you have created for all of us…we are refreshed, revived and in tune once again with nature. And your delicious breakfasts – plus great conversation! We are a little heart broken to leave, but already making plans to return. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts”

“Jakey's Fork is an enchanting retreat just a few minutes outside Dubois, WY. The feel and authenticity of the place is part of the charm. (If you happen to be a history buff, you'll enjoy the fact that Butch Cassidy spent a Christmas here.) Your host Carolyn has preserved the rustic yet added some updates and her own decorative talent to provide a welcoming feel to your quintessentially western experience. My Mother and I shared the space while attending a family reunion in Dubois over the July 4th holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Carolyn's Bunkhouse along Jakey's Creek!”
